I can't figure out how to easily deselect all layers. The deselect tool is grayed out when you have a layer selected. I can press Ctrl+A to select everything, then deselect is clickable and it deselects everything and no layer is selected.
Is there a way I'm missing to deselect all layers so I can get a clear view of what I'm working on?
Thanks! Cory

You can right-click on the checkmark in the layer list, there's an option for that in the context-menu.
But you might also check "view > show layer frames (CTRL4)" and "...handles (CTRL+6). When both are off, no layer boundaries are plotted.

What you said didn't work, so I played around with a few things and it looks like it's a bug. I got what you said to work when you're editing a "document" but not a "picture."
I made a video showing it.

It is a feature, because other image processing have been behaving the same - at least in the past, I don't now how it is nowadays.bkh hat geschrieben:Probably it's not a bug but a feature
Well, I agree, too. "Deselect" should either really deselect or select the background layer. Which one is preferable?bkh hat geschrieben: … you'll have to select the background layer in picture mode in order not to see layer frames, handles etc. (But I agree that having "Deselect" in Picture Mode as well would make sense.)

Re: How to unselect all items from layer tool?
I think it should really deselect, but according to some emails between Gerhard and I, it's intentional that in picture mode you can't deselect all the layers. I would be very happy either way, this is the one thing that I haven't gotten used to. Right now, in picture mode, to view the image as a finished product (no overlays of any type), you have to scroll down in the layer box to the background layer and click it. It can be quite tedious scrolling up and down that list.Martin Huber hat geschrieben:It is a feature, because other image processing have been behaving the same - at least in the past, I don't now how it is nowadays.bkh hat geschrieben:Probably it's not a bug but a feature

Really deselect everything, which eliminates all distractions to viewing the image.Martin Huber hat geschrieben:"Deselect" should either really deselect or select the background layer. Which one is preferable?

Why not both options? 'Deselect' and 'Select background layer'...Martin Huber hat geschrieben:...

Just curious, did this ever get addressed or any updates for the PhotoLine staff regarding this?
