Req: External Programs file type as PDF

When I have a vector layer in my PL document/image, I'd like to be able to send that layer as a PDF to an external program for modification as a vector object.

As it is, I have to export the layer as a PDF document, then open that PDF document in CorelDraw or Inkscape for modifications, then save it as a PDF document, then create a new vector layer in PL, then import that modified PDF document into the new PL vector layer, then delete the original PL vector layer. Whew!

It would be a whole lot easier to have PDF as an additional option to the TIF and PNG file formats for the external programs.

Just a note. Moving the vectors back into PL can be as easy as copying them from CD and pasting as a layer in PL. Unfortunately, the reverse isn't true...CD is not aware of clipboard contents from PL.

Doesn't always work, especially after applying an "Artistic Media" effect to the vector. At least this is with CDR X5....

Ah, I see that now.

I don't use PL for vector at all, so I had never tried the exchange in any form.
