External program temp file

Hi all,

I´m having some trouble understanding the external program command, let me try to explain.

In PL´s help says that if I choose to edit the active layer this one will save a temporary file, here my problem, when I use (in my case Raw Therapee) to edit a layer, it open fine in RT but when I save the file it ask me the location to save the file and I choose the desktop for example and then I jump back to PL but I don´t see the layer updated on PL.
Is there a special place where PL store this temporary file, or am I missing something here?

PhotoLine saves the layer into the temp folder - it gets this from the operating system.
The "normal" way would be to save the file with the external program on the same place. If your program is not able to do this, the automatic update in PhotoLine won't work.

Thank you, now it works , such a fantastic feature.

Would be possible to add an option to choose where do we want PL to save the temp file?

no, I don't see an advantage. Make your OS to change the folder if you want to.
