Amazing Circles - can they be done in PL?

Works the same way as in PS. I append a basic "Amazing Circles" action (just a polar -> Cartesian transform + flip vertical + Cartesian -> polar transform). Once you apply it again, you get (more or less) the original image. If you want your "Amazing Circle" to be symmetric (like some of the images on dpreview), make sure your original image is symmetric (e.g., by merging together mirror images of the original).

I used your action as inspiration to create an action that pauses to allow for a square crop (or any proportion) to be defined. If the entire image is desired to be in the effect, simply remove the checkmark from the first "Lasso" item in the action.

This type of thing could more precisely be named "Boring Circles" , but it can be used for humorous purposes like changing your girlfriend from this:

I never thought to test on the non-beta, but it's interesting that the Amazing Circles square action still works on it.

Aargh -- I have done is AGAIN! I couldn't remember ow to add an action to the panel so I went contextual menu > load and added nothing but my entire list of actions disappeared.

How DO I add/import an action (can't find anything in the Help -- is it "Merge" in the contextual menu? But that doesn't seem to work)?

How do I get my old actions back?

PL 18.1 on Mac, X.6.8.

The default actions are in the applications folder, in the folder named Defaults, and named Actions.actions

Load it. Use the merge to load the others if you want them all to show up in the Actions panel together.

Maybe the text should be changed in "Add Action(s)" and "Replace Action(s)" in the kontext menu.

@Greenmorpher: I save my actions frequently. Actually I save all my stuff in PhotoLine. Presets, Colours, ...

Not workng. PL18.01 says it can't open the document. Is it because it was created in the new beta?

I have no folder named "Defaults" or "Actions" in the PL folder. Perhaps this is a difference between Windows and Mac installations? Nothing in the Library/Application Support either.

(Incidentally, I described to the FocusMagic man how to install his plug-in for PL, and he was impressed by the ease of it -- and the extremely economical size of the download.)
