Commands to actions

Beitrag von Juan »

Hi all,

I´m creating a custom action but there are two commands that I can´t make it to record it.
The first one since I´m recording a Channel to selection action I need to fill that selection with another color.
The second one is activate the Soft Edge (found on the Layer tab) and apply a value.

Thanks in advance,
Juan

I found the first one... Tool--> Lasso--> Fill with Foreground :)

There's a menu command "Layer -> Clipping Layer -> Clipping Width …" which sets the feathering, but unfortunately, it doesn't get recorded in actions, either. Maybe that can be fixed.

As a workaround, you could convert the layer to a lasso and use the "Soft Edge" in the Tool Settings (which gets recorded), then convert that lasso back to a layer. Maybe you don't even need the conversion steps since you seem to work with selections anyway.

Cheers

Thanks Burkhard, I´ll fill a feature/bug report? for the Clipping Width action record.

I´ll try your workaround and be back with the result.

Already fixed in the latest beta … the developers usually follow their forums …

Awesome news... I just have learned with the years that making some kind of proper wishes or proper bug reporting is easier for the developers :)
