Load ONLY image files with Browse?

I have several folders with dozens of PDF, TXT, and image files. When I try to use Browse, ALL the files are read resulting in a very slow load. I don't do 'Documents' so I have no need to work with TXT and PDF files. Is there a way to read ONLY the image files?

"Edit > Options > Browse > Creation" allows at least to turn off the creation of previews for PDF. I guess that will already help a lot.

Thanks, that does help some. I was hoping an option might be added to allow or block certain filetypes. Any chance of that?
