The Guardian (!), which I usually praise highly, just listed the best PS alternatives. Look at this ridiculous pile of non-research:

Aperture and iPhoto now come with a warning in the App Store that they are discontinued, yet they're still recommended by the paper.
And guess what - PL is nowhere to be seen.
Anyone with an account there to comment on that silly article?
