SVG, white background, why ?

Beitrag von Pierre »

I've downloaded this SVG, here >
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... NewTux.svg
If I load this picture into Photoline, I see a group of layers, ok.
But the SVG has a white background, and I don't see a layer with a white background in the panel of layers.
How to remove this background to save the picture in a png format (with transparency), for example ? Convert something ? The document mode ? I've tried, but...

The SVG is opened as a document, so you have to change the background colour in the document panel to transparent. Then it works as expected. :-)

Edit: Alternativly, you can merge the group to an image and save the new image layer via Layer -> Management -> Save Layer... (the merge layer step is important, because otherwise PhotoLine renders the vector layers group to an image with white background)

Another approach is to add an empty transparent image layer (same size as document), and place it at the bottom in the layer stack. Then switch to picture mode.
