When the program's preferences are set to use "ProPhotoRGB" as the colour profile for RAW images, opening a RAW image creates a nice compact layer stack:
That top layer is a "holding" layer which aggregates all the individual adjustment layers.
It would be good for that layer to have a descriptive name by default. Maybe "RAW adjustments", or "Adjustments collection", or ??. Doing so would help make sense of the layer stack when multiple layers are added, and also would help new users understand PL's RAW processing functionality.

It would also be more logical to make that "holding" layer a child of the background image layer.
