Maybe China is the largest market in the world for Photeline.

PL should give more support for Chinese, in spite of few people buy PL in China.

In fact, most people haven't buy Photoshop and Coreldraw, but PS and CD are the most popular design software in in China.

As I know, coreldraw x3-x4 is the most popular design software in China's printing market.

And PL is better than coreldraw.

There is a chinese translation of PL, you can set up your language with "Edit > Options > Extended > Language"
I remember that this is available since I use Photoline. Maybe the translation is already fine?

And how exactly does one get a culture use to using ripped-off software to use paid-for versions?

It's an issue not only related to China. It's an issue that no one is going to resolve. It has to be seen by the cultures involved that it is wrong and to not do it. In most cases it's also not about the money involved for legal copies. I know of a couple very large print establishments in China that run illegal copies of all software required for the business. They have the money and choose to use illegal hacked versions.

I have no idea how this can ever be resolved.
