Inverted Duplicated Layer Mask

Is it possible to achieve a duplicated layer mask which is inverted. That means white will be black and black will be white. As soon as you change the mask, the inverted mask would be changed as well.

Yes – make a virtual copy of the layer mask and invert it using a "Curves" adjustment – there is a preset "Invert" in Curves which is just what's needed.
With the layers in place, the layer panel should look like this:
