Distort question

When distort a layer with mask layer, the mask layer become to a fully black image and can't be modified with brush tool.
In Photoshop, the mask layer distort with host layer synchronous.

Basically, we can't distort a layer with mask layer or other child layer. there are a lots of strange problem.

I can confirm the problem that clipping layers/layer masks don't work with distorted (using the distortion tool or outline warping). However, this is the only problem I can see. In any case, making the layer mask visible shows a correctly distorted layer. Adjustment layers seem to work, including their (mask) layers.

Afaik, it's intended that you can't paint on distorted layers because the painting operation cannot, in general, be transformed back to the original layer, just think of overlaps. It might be a good idea, though, to show this more clearly, maybe by showing the "no entry" cursor instead of just a generic one. If you need to use a paint tool on the layer, you'll have to temporarily disable the distortion in the attributes panel.

It does work when you select the layer mask, and group it. Grouped layer masks are correctly distorted.

I do agree that a single layer mask ought to be distorted in the same manner, though. I will report this in the beta forum.
