Export file action (?)

When I save a pld I'd like to generate a reduced+sharpened jpeg preview at the same time.
Also, I need to add a suffix to the preview.
I was thinking about recording an action, but what about the suffix in the file name ? Is that possible ?

There is currently no way to do that automatically with an action.
