Predefined selection with the rectangular lasso

Hello.

Sorry for the silly question but how could I do a selection based on numeric values using the rectangular lasso? It's possible with the crop tool but I can't find a way to do the same with the lasso. This would be useful for coping and pasting diffent parts of an image without to always undo the crop operation. It would also help to visually frame the right selection.

When you double-click on the tool (really the button in the toolbar), a dialog opens. This is a shortcut to "tool > lasso > formlasso"

Tank you. I can see the shortcut and also the path Tool > Lasso > Form lasso...
it's not a very intuitive place, though. I mean it'd be more straightforward if the function was put in the Tool Settings window.
