Brush alpha and texture

How do you import your own alphas and textures to use with the paint brushes?
I can see how to select different shaped brushes (alphas) and textures/patterns. But the ones available are a bit limited.

How do you import your own alphas and textures to use with the paint brushes?

Open the brush list and pattern lists via the menu (View -> Lists). You can either copy/paste brush shapes and patterns from ordinary images, or import brush and pattern files (these files create new pattern palettes, use the context menu to switch between them). I'm not sure about textures (patterns in PL are just bitmap images, textures are computer generated by a formula, but you can also generate your own).

Btw., for one-time use, you can also copy a pattern or brush shape in the respective swatch in the toolbar.

It works best when you open the according lists with "view > lists..."
In the context menu you find a lot of functions, "paste" comes handy.
So select your brush or pattern with a lasso tool, Ctrl+C, and then paste to the lists.
There was a way with drag&drop,too, but seems I can't handle it anymore...

In addition, Photoline reads Photoshop brush libraries. Open the *.abr brush library files in the Brushes list panel in the context menu. Either merge with the active collection, or load a new one. The loaded libraries will be listed in the panel context menu.
