Brush sizes

I have a hypothetical image/composition. It has 6-7 layers. Each layer is the same resolution, 300PPI. However the layers are made up of images of various sizes. (Yet to be cropped/trimmed). All transparent layers. Now I want to use a brush, say the air brush, in a few of the layers. However each layer applies a different 'size/shape' to the brush. I assume the size/shape is related to the layer size. That's ok. However it would suit me better if I could set a 'global' brush size. So that jumping from one layer to the next keeps the brush setting/s the same. Is this possible in PL?

For me, it doesn't. The brush size is in layer pixels, so if the ppi value is the same for all your layers, then the brush size as shown on the screen should also be the same. However, if the layer resolution is different (e.g., if you scale a layer using the layer tool) from the document resolution, the brush size changes accordingly (the brush size is in layer pixels, not screen pixels). Similarly, if you rotate the layer, the brush rotates in the same way. You can use "Fix Layer" to make document and layer resolution and direction match (by re-sampling the layer).

Thanks. I should have explained an extra wrinkle!!
I use the Handles to stretch or distort some of the layers. So that's an extra complication!

If only I could apply a global size/setting linked to the document not the layer.

I agree, sometimes I don´t want to fix my layer so a override layer resolution option for brushes would be a great addition or like you said per document, but always as an option.
