Strange anti-aliasing view issue

Beitrag von Herbert123 »

I have a file which I worked on before, and I opened it today. I turned on anti-aliasing, but only some parts of the scanned monochrome drawing will render anti-aliased when I zoom out. Other parts do not. No specific anti-aliasing settings for these layers are set. I tried to see if there are any differences between the various layers, but as far as I can discern there none.

For some reason the forum refuses to attach the screenshot here (even though it is smaller than 128kb!).

I sent the original file to info@pl32.com for investigation.

When I click the link the »gofile« doesn't show anything.

The limit for attachments in this forum is 100 kb

Maybe you can post a part or region of the screenshot?

Here is a smaller zoomed out version:
aliased.png
Even though no particular layer settings are used, some layers are aliased and some are not when I turn on anti-aliasing.

PS download the image and view at 100% - the browser and forum may scale this image up or down, and affect the original's intent.

Your image contains an additional layer, which is activated. What will happen if you merge all layers, zoom in and out — will there still be problems with the anti-aliasing?

When I merge all the layers, it works. It is not only the one layer, though, that will not render anti-aliased: I have more layers in the same document, and some do, and other do not. When I merge all layers but the one selected, it still refuses to work.

Interestingly enough, when I merged all top layers, and I had to respond to an e-mail, while I was doing other things PhotoLine spontaneously crashed! It never does that. So something must be off with that particular file that causes issues.

Anyway, thanks for trying to help. I am 99.9% certain this is a bug of some kind. I sent the original file to Gerhard.

This is now fixed in the latest 22.40b7.

Seems it was caused by having rotated 1bit layers.

Many thanks!
