Did you enable "Show Selected Layer" and "Mark All selected Layers"?

Aha, that was the thing. For some reason (my fault) I disable them, now it works fine.
I would like to request (if possible). When having many layers selected, if we hold the Alt key and click on a layer that is selected then the rest of the layers gets deselected but that one.
Hope it makes sense.
