Not a bug I think. Reason looks like the way PL handles and reads vectors. All softwares have their own characteristics. My problem in real life design examples is, even when I think that I merged/welded vectors to create a shape, actually it is not. If path close command will take all vectors in "a layer" together, it can be usefull. Sometimes you can not understand they glued or not. You must to click and drag to check. And for corel, I'm not a fan of it. I use it only for the CNC machine since obligated. Not my stuff. Corel is with the power of a bear in vectors but designing speed and easiness of PL is far far better. Just you can not weld the complex designs
