Please consider making the Stamp tool recordable as an Action.

I recently had a request from a friend to process a series of digital photographs with an overlay that includes text and three separate photo objects. This is a job for batch operation with an action that puts text in one corner, then opens a stamp file to stamp, not spray, in another corner, then another stamp file for a third corner, and the same operation with another stamp file in the remaining corner.

This is something I could easily do in PSP because both the text application and tube (stamp) function could be recorded in scripts (actions). In PL, I can use the Text-to-Picture function to handle the text, but dealing with the photo objects requires a time-consuming workaround because PL does not allow recording of Stamps in actions.

Surely there are other PL customers who could utilize the Stamp tool in an action.

Have you considered making a template file of your required graphics, and then using a recorded action to paste your photos into that, instead of the other way around. I'm not sure this would work, but it might. I made a rather complex template file for business cards with overlain text and graphics, so that I could just drop any photo I want into each cell as the background image. Though I never made it into an action it seems like a plausible solution.

(Though I do agree that many more PhotoLine features should be recordable. I seldom try recording actions because I never know if I'm wasting my time using that feature or not. Should I happen to be using some feature not recognized for recording then I'm back at square one and would have wasted all that time trying to make it work.)
