I have to ask these officially, since there are lots of issues when running Photoline on linux, also I have some CG stuff that need deeper bitdepth...
Linux version
I will offer all my help in betatesting/UI creation/integration/graphics, anything you need to get a Photoline for GNU/Linux working. Every new modification in WINE seems to break something in Photoline. Last issue was that Color Management didn't work. Please please please build a Photoline using QT. I will pay 2 x the retail price to get my hands on one. Seriously.
32-bit / Channel
Not a lot of people use HDR bitdepth for editing, but I have some stuff that needs this. Specifically FITS images, CGI renders when compositing etc.
Both of these are pretty hard to implement - they require a lot of rework on the UI and innerstuff, but I really do hope for the GNU/Linux platform. A native 64-bit build for ubuntu would kick some serious ass - and it would grab a market that has no competitors (Cinepaint being the only serious one, and limited at best).
Photoline so far kicks ass as it is, so thanks again for this awesome software. : )

I am sorry about this, but we have not the man power to create a Linux version.Loadus hat geschrieben:Linux version

There is a first step 32-bit / Channel support in 16.11 - it doesn't really work good. You can load 32-bit / Channel TIFF images.Loadus hat geschrieben:32-bit / Channel

The latest beta version can do it better.

Re: Two feature requests

Yes, I was afraid of this. I'll look into this, to see if I can build the UI (Qt4 copy of the Photoline interface).Gerhard Huber hat geschrieben: I am sorry about this, but we have not the man power to create a Linux version.
Great news! Definitely want to betatest this. Good job, guys. : )Gerhard Huber hat geschrieben: There is a first step 32-bit / Channel support in 16.11 - it doesn't really work good. You can load 32-bit / Channel TIFF images.
