Display of Right-to-Left Languages

When typing Hebrew text on version 16.52 for the Mac, some of the glyphs are truncated on the left and right sides. This happens using any font, but not with outlined text. It doesn't affect the printed output either, so it seems to be a display bug only.

I am sorry, but PhotoLine doesn't support right-to-left languages.

As Martin says, PL does not support RTL...but it doesn't do so directly. There is a way. But it is only useful for further manipulation on finished text for illustration uses. One cannot directly alter the content as each character ends up being a vector graphic.

• You can use OpenOffice Writer, which is a RTL-enabled application (and free) to type your text.
  Print to a PDF.
• Open the PDF in OpenOffice's Draw application. OOD is a very, very basic and limited application. But it will open that PDF just created in OO Writer.
• In OO Draw, select everything and choose to Convert to Curve (Modify menu).
• Export as a PDF.

This PDF does import fine into PL as the text is now all vector. Below is some Farsi done in the above manner as a test.

Well, I don’t think PhotoLine supports right to left languages…at least not for now. However, there are many other alternative options which you can employ to display right to left languages. Some of them are stated here by MWENZ and you can choose follow these steps for the purpose.
