Elimnating purple blotches in photos

Beginning at this post in DPReview:

Two blokes discuss eliminating purple bias and blotches in pix using PP as their processor.

Can we do the same in PL? Would someone like to chime in and say so?

For what it's worth, the same recipe as in PS (http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/post/50900056) works in PL as well. dpreview doesn't allow guests to reply, though.
