"Saving" and .tiff compression

When saving as .tiff there is no compression if it is selected.

In "Save As" > "Tiff Settings - Format for Saving", choosing "TIF-ZIP", or "TIF LZW-Packed", or "TIF-Unpacked", all result in the same saved file size. And in my "image viewer" all the resulting file Properties report under Compression: "none". It seems the Tiff Settings are having no effect.

So.....what am I doing wrong?
I should also note: my Photoline is still under the Trial period and it occurred to me that it could be a trial limitation (but I could not find that documented)?

it's a limitation of the unregistered version.

Ah.... I suspected it might be but searched and could find no mention of it (only re GIF watermarking).
