How do I make the tool bars and tool ikons bigger on screen?
Mind you, I always check this out, then go back to the default. Sigh.
A problem I can see immediately on Mac: the little expansion triangles on the tool buttons are too small. They need to be twice or more bigger so that tool selection does not interfere with the work flow.
The second thing is the little contrast and color tool box. Great little tools -- but too little. I've asked for these "click on" targets to be made bigger before. I hope some others agree with me!

Hi Geoff--do you mean Edit | Options | Display | User Interface, then the Icon section drop-down for the icon size?
I leave mine on "Middle." I also use "Gray with Shadow" for the icon color. The little expansion triangles remain in red color. While they are still little, I see then readily. And seeing how one does not need to actually click on the little red triangle, it is pretty usable for me set up this way.

Ah -- File/preferences/Display/User Interface. Couldn’t see it for looking. I have tended to leave mine in the middle too -- but maybe I had a few too many beers the other night and e the tools seemed too small a target. I’ll try large for a while. 
Regarding the little triangles -- yes and no. They could do with being larger for the combination of my tired old eyes and the hi rez screen on my 2010 MacBook Pro (they put out a model with hi rez screen specifically for graphics, which cost a couple of hundred dollars extra -- I was lucky to snag a hardly used one on eBay).
I love color in those tool buttons!
Yes, you don’t have to hit the triangle, but it felt like it did yesterday -- the tool options appeared slow to respond when I first launched v.18. However, everything is running nicely this morning and the tool options are showing up immediately.

Hey, nice work on the slider for the gray background, Herr and Herr Huber, I was able to set it just right -- pretty light! (Can that be said Herren Hubers or is that a memory problem showing up?)
