Bug: Plugin-generated raster image not showing

Win7 x64
PL 18.01 (32-bit)
KPT Collection plugins

Problem:
The KPT Collection is a set of plugins that are supplied as part of PaintShop Pro. Several of the plugins (Lightning, Gel, Lens Flare, etc.) independently generate a raster image and do not require the existence of underlying pixels. In other words, in PSP (and PSE) I can add a transparent raster layer and generate the plugin image in that raster layer.

In PhotoLine, the plugin appears to work (no error messages), but the generated raster image does not appear. However, if I use another KPT plugin, the KPT preview window displays the previously generated raster image, so KPT recognizes that something was created.

Here's the KPT preview window. It clearly shows that the KPT Gel image was generated, as well as the current Lens Flare image:

If I apply the KPT plugin effect directly on a fully covered image layer, the effect shows as expected, but obviously cannot be re-positioned, etc.
