Possible enhancements for Browse

Hi folks,

I'm using Browse to sort though my images to decide which I should further process. Here are some things I'd like to see:

- let me see the histogram for the viewed image
- change to grayscale (only visually, not modifying the image; it lets me see the contrast better)
- let me rotate the image (again, only visually)
- zoom should go back to 0 with command-0 (control 0 on Windows)
- compare two (or 4) images, zooming and scrolling in sync

The preview in Browse just uses the same zoom commands as an ordinary window (in the View menu), so you can just assign CMD-0 to "Full View" in the View menu (via Preferences -> Usage -> Keyboard Layout).

You can already compare two imges side by side – just select two images instead of one. (If you want to scroll one image only, press "Alt" while dragging.)

That works; thanks very much.

You can already compare two imges side by side – just select two images instead of one. (If you want to scroll one image only, press "Alt" while dragging.)

That doesn't seem to work. I select two image in browse, right click and select Show Image, and I only get one. I see what you mean if you use the preview window that you can pull up from the bottom. But the resolution of that method is too poor for anything; I think it is using the preview jpg in a RAW file instead of rendering the RAW file as (I think) Show Image does.
