Is it possible to use small caps in Photoline?

If you are on OS X and your font supports small caps, choose Layout -> Text -> Choose Font …, then choose "Typography" from the "Sprocket" menu. This opens a palette with additional typographic features (depending on the font used) – if your font has small caps, you can select "Small Caps" under "Lower Case".

Afaik, PL does not automatically simulate small caps (by using normal caps at a smaller font size) – that's because it usually doesn't look "right", I guess.

Cheers

Thank you for your reply, but it didn't work for me.

I am using Windows - Photoline version 18.02 64bit.
I could not find the "Sprocket" menu.

I am using the Source Sans Pro font which should have small caps, I even reinstall the font to have the most current version.

I have never used the Text Styles in PL as I do my long text stuff in another app, but surely you can set up a paragraph style for overall style, then a character style for small caps.

Reducing the caps to 80% of full height usually does the trick in my experience; small enough to make a useful visual height difference but not so small that the weight of the type looks too different from the type around it.

Thank you for your help.
At the end I decided to solve the problem by using another app.
