Virtual Copy Layer Question

As we know, a host layer and his child layer may have different size, when we select the host layer, PL show a layer handle, the layer handles' size determined by the combined image size( transparent area were ignored when calculate size), but when I make a virtual copy layer, I found the virtual layer's handle size is not same as source size, it's size is a rectange include all the child.

I don't think it naturaly. for example, when I want print 4 same image in a page, I create a source layer, and do virtual copy three times, then I want distribute them, but the problem is that the size of virtual copy is not same as source.
