Hi
Sorry if this has been covered. Wondering if you can adjust the shape of a word or sentence, so for example it looks as if the letters/words in the middle are wider than those at either end - also giving a 3D feel, like the example.
Also could you point me to a resource that explains how to set text along a curved line please.
I'm still on version 17.10 I'm afraid.
Thank you.

Re: Change shape of text
1) Text schreiben.
1) Write your text, then open "Effects > distort > outline warping" and select a nice outline. You can still edit your text. I'm quite sure this didn't change since 17.10.
2) The easier way to do that is to first create the curved line.
You use vector tools for that, either one of the predefined shapes or the vector drawing tools. After drawing the shape or line, you switch to the text tool and point to the line. You will find that the cursor changes and shows a different icon. After that you create your text layer and write your text as usual.
You can change the shape later, and there are lots of options for further adjustments in the text tool.

Re: Change shape of text
You can try Outline Warping (create a vector shape first, then copy and paste it into the appropriate field in the Outline Warping dialogue). (Hoogo was faster than me.) From PL 18, there's also an interactive distortion tool which is much easier to use because you can adjust the shape interactively.xgipper hat geschrieben:Hi

Instead of Hoogo's solution, If you already have a text layer, you can draw a vector path immediately below your text layer (you can still modify/fine tune the vector path afterwards), then select the text layer and choose the text tool. In the Tool settings panel, switch to the last tab and turn on "Run on Path". (The end result is the same as Hoogo's.) You can make the vector line invisible if you don't want it to be visible in the final document.xgipper hat geschrieben: Also could you point me to a resource that explains how to set text along a curved line please.

Thank you both for fast answers.Hoogo hat geschrieben: 1) Write your text, then open "Effects > distort > outline warping" and select a nice outline. You can still edit your text. I'm quite sure this didn't change since 17.10.
I did this in one PL file, added it to my banner ad and reduced it, and it looks good. But when I turn into an animated gif this layer doesn't show. Would that be expected behaviour?
Cheers

Re: Change shape of text
I've converted that text layer to an image now and it will save as an animated gif, so sorted: thanks.

I guess it's a bug.xgipper hat geschrieben:...But when I turn into an animated gif this layer doesn't show. Would that be expected behaviour?...

Re: Change shape of text
It works fine here (tested with 17.10 und 19.01).Hoogo hat geschrieben:I guess it's a bug.xgipper hat geschrieben:...But when I turn into an animated gif this layer doesn't show. Would that be expected behaviour?...
I created a text layer, added an Outline Warping, copied the layer twice, changed the Bending value of the copies and exported the result as GIF.
