Req: Zoom -- specify exact percentage

I don't see any way to specify the exact zoom percentage for the editing window on an ad hoc basis (other than the tedious method of changing one of the zoom settings in the PL Options).

I could've sworn this was available at one time in PL.

What I'm thinking of is that double-clicking on the Zoom item in the View menu will open a dialog box to type in the exact percentage.

This zoom percentage dialog box would also be a nice addition to the Zoom toolbar.

You can edit the zoom value in the status bar of the document window.

When working on an image (not a document), there's no zoom value displayed in the status bar on Win7.

Strange. It's definitely there in OS X, in picture mode as well. (Also shows the page number.)

yes, OS X is different to Windows here. That's so because OS X has no status bar and the information of the tools is shown here.

It looks like there are a few unused areas in the Status Bar on Windows that could be used for the zoom factor and page numbers, etc.:
