Req: Grid for gradient editing in Color Editor

When editing a gradient in the Color Editor dialog, it would help if there were a grid in the area used for positioning the starting and ending points:

That would make it much easier to precisely position those points half-way between the extremes, etc.

Yes, and it helps to keep the line vertical/horizontal, too. It would still be nice to have a grid as a guide.
