Req: "Inverted" option for vector clipping/mask layer

I've got a photo of an antique motorcyle sitting in front of a cluttered display. I want to apply some adjustment layers to the motorcycle itself, and other adjustment layers to its background. Here's my layers panel:

I used the Vector Lasso tool to create a vector graphic of the motorcycle, and because the vector graphic is so complicated and tedious to create (all those spokes and bits of machinery, etc. ), I would like to use virtual copies of that vector graphic as masks for the adjustment layers. However, you can see that two of the masks need to have the mask colours inverted, so I had to convert the vector graphic to raster layers for use as masks.

It would be great if the layer options submenu shown had an "Inverted" option for clipping/masking to accommodate this.

What if you separate the motorcycle from the background and move it to a new layer? Seems you already have the vectors to cut it out.
That way you could remove all the masks that protect the bike from changes made to the background.

The current PL beta has an "Invert" option in the Layer attributes (under "Clipping").

If you don't want to use the beta and your vector graphics uses the "Even/Odd" fill mode (pentagram symbol with empty centre in the toolbar), the following workaround helps: add a vector rectangle covering your entire image below the vector layer (or its virtual copy), group the two layers and use the resulting group as a layer mask/clipping layer.

Excellent! Thanks for pointing that out -- it does exactly what I'm looking for.

Now, I can use the original vector graphic as a "master" mask, and any refinements I make to that "master" are instantly propagated to all the adjustment layers. Cool!

The layers panel nicely shows what's going on:

That would work, but I want to avoid creating new raster layers and I also prefer the way the layers are organized when directly using masks.
