Hide layer handles by default?

Beitrag von russellcottrell »

Hello; is there a way to hide layer handles by default? Every time Photoline starts, I have to go to View - Show Layer Handles and turn them off. Would be nice if they stayed off forever; maybe it could be added to the display options? Or is there a way to do it that I don’t know?

Thank you,

No, there is no such option.
And I don't think, it is usually a good idea to turn them off permanently:
- It would probably increase our support work significantly, because it is a common "problem", that users try out options, see no direct effect and forget that they altered this option.
- The handles are needed for layer types like text.

The handles are needed for layer types like text.
But they are kind of in the way for adjustment layers. Just sayin’ . . . .

How about using the shortcut key <ctrl-6> instead of the menu item? That is quicker, and just requires a flick on a key. You could also simplify the shortcut key to one without a modifier key.
