Album?

Post by Paul »

Hi, can anyone explain to me what the entry 'Album' means in the sidebar of the browser window? The best use I can see is that 'Favorites' is for favorite folders and 'Album' is for favorite files. But else? I can't find it in the handbook.

Hi Paul,
in my opinion the "Album Folder" is like the "Favourite Folder".
I don't use the "Favourite Folder" but created with a right mouse click a personal (Album)Folder(Album (Work in Progress)).
If I a work on an image and want to pick it up later, than I DRAG the image in my "Work in Progress" Folder.
That's my way. And it works fine for me.
With the right mouse click, you can create more Folder in the "Album Folder".
The "Album-Folder" doesn't appear in the Windows Explorer. It's for internal usage. A kind of placeholder of the original.
i.e. You saved an image like test.pld in your path c:\pl/examples/images/test.pld
Now you browse in the PL-Browser to that place.
Drag the image to Album/Work in Progress.
Now, you dont have to search that image, you can directly go to your "Work in Progress" folder.
If you "Safe" your image, the image is saved by PL in both folders.
A kind of "quick find and edit option".

Thanks. That was something I hoped for. And thanks for the extra info.

Maybe there could be a function like 'Add active document to album'?
