I learned that PhotoLine 23.02 opens HEIC images dragging them on PL32 application icon. But PL32 seems unable to open them through "File open..." dialog. On other side, if I open a HEIC image dragging it on PL32 application icon, and than save the image as JPEG file, I loose EXIF information. The same happens if I use a conversion function.
Other strange behavior is that many times, converting a HEIC image to JPEG image, make it much larger image... from 3'024x4'032 to 12'600x16'800

Re: Open/convert HEIC images
That's not correct, but if you want to use the "Open" dialog, you have to setup the file filter to "All Files (*.*)"
Since HEIC is loaded by Windows or macOS, it has no own entry.
That's correct, at the moment the Windows and the macOS import does not support meta data.
I don't have this effect here and I don't see a reason for this. Is it already the big size after opening or after saving?

Re: Open/convert HEIC images
Yesterday it happened more than once, even randomly. But I trashed both, HEIC files and oversized JPEGs. Now I'm unable to repeat the behavior. In first time I suspected it had something to do with Apple's live photos (that yesterday I may have inadvertently taken), but today even with live photos I don't get this kind of issue.
If it happens again, I'll post the files.

Re: Open/convert HEIC images
I am just interested in the original HEIC. The generated JPEG does not provide any additional information.borgo1971 wrote: ↑Wed 09 Mar 2022 22:14 Yesterday it happened more than once, even randomly.
