Help with Brush creation

Hello:

I've been trying to create custom brushes - for some reason, PL won't let me alter the hardness of my custom brushes. It is simply greyed out - any idea what could be happening? Thanks!!

Hardness works only with simple round (or rectangle) brushes.
By the way, i requested earlier for Hardness (add Blur) setting slider for Stamps and raster image-based Brushes.
