I found that sometimes when I took screenshots and pasted them into a document in PL.
The newly pasted layers were not scaled 100%, but 66.7%, 100.8% or so.
I want the pasted image unscaled, 1:1 pixel-by-pixel as the original source. Is there an option to make PL behave this way?
How to remove scaling while pasting images into PL?

Re: How to remove scaling while pasting images into PL?
In Document mode larger imported image scales to smaller document size.
In Picture mode larger imported image keeps original size.
As i remember it also was some random behave when copy/paste between smaller/larger Picture/Document.
Also smaller/larger text and vector copy/pasted from/to Picture/Document behave slightly different, which makes this problem even more confused.
This is known problem (or not a problem). I explained it in details with animated examples long time ago, but right now i can't find link to that discussion. Perfectly it should be a user option to permanently enable/disable that auto resize.
You can quickly revert layer to original size by mouse right click on "Scaling" or "Angle" fields in Layer Attributes and select "Reset".

Re: How to remove scaling while pasting images into PL?
@shijan
Thank you for following up.
The behavior is really strange. I was pasting screenshots into PL. Sometimes the pasted image was scaled to 100.3%, but sometimes 99.4% or so. This kind of behavior gets me freak out.
The Reset command somewhat helps. Thanks!
But it is really an unnecessity for me, if the pasted image is always 1:1 pasted.

Agreed, this behaviour of PhotoLine I experience often too. Not too sure how that is controlled or prevented.

Re: How to remove scaling while pasting images into PL?
If you on macOS, it could be a part of another strange bug when image layer Copy/Pasted form one document to similar sized another document changes it's size. It happens only with some specific image sizes and seems only on some macOS versions. PhotoLine developers couldn't reproduce this problem on their machines, so it wasn't fixed yet. Here you can try to launch script that reproduces this problem: https://www.pl32.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?t=6942

The basic rules for pasting to a different document are quite simple:Herbert123 wrote: ↑Thu 24 Oct 2024 10:27 Agreed, this behaviour of PhotoLine I experience often too. Not too sure how that is controlled or prevented.
- In Picture Mode, the layer is pasted as is.
- In Document Mode, PhotoLine retains the physical size (the layer size in cm, inch, ...) of the layer, just like other layout applications do. If the resulting size is larger than the document, the layer size is reduced to document size.
- If the layer to be pasted was a document-sized adjustment layer, PhotoLine will paste a document-sized adjustment layer, too.
- If the pixel grid is activated, the position and size of the new layer will be aligned to the pixel grid. This might be the reason for this:

Re: How to remove scaling while pasting images into PL?
My situation is that I am browsing an online library which provides document online, but no download is provided. A page is quite larger than a screen, so I have to take several screenshots for a page, then paste them together. Since a document usually have quite a few pages, so I turn to the document mode rather then the picture mode.
The auto scaling makes me feel things get out of control.
I don't want the auto-scaling feature in the document mode. I still want it to be pasted pixel to pixel, so there will not be defect between screenshots.
Could you provide an option to do so--this would not be too difficult isn't it?

Re: How to remove scaling while pasting images into PL?
I tend to agree with @wmjordan: my work generally involves multiple page work as well in PhotoLine.
A simple preference option to control the paste behaviour would be very VERY welcome.
