Hello People:
I am facing a challenge with Text Scaling in PL. What I am trying to achieve is simple: I want to write text within a text box, and then take the corner handles of the box to scale down or up to increase or decrease the text size. At the moment, I can only scale the box size itself which does not affect the text size. Having to constantly re-set the text size in the context menu is not efficient. Any idea how to achieve this in PL? Thank you!

Hi,
I would group this frame, resize it as you wish, ungroup it and fix the frame.

Re: Text Scaling Challenges
Thanks Paul: That worked, but that is completely counter-intuitive. The extra step of grouping and ungrouping fails to dynamically update the text size in the context toolbar, which means, I cannot know what is the resulting text size. This is one function which I wish functioned like every other program.

Yep, every new user ask about text box in PhotoLine It works by default same as it works in DTP apps, but not as in usual image editing apps.
Just use Control+Shift+Drag Corner to keep that box (Dynamic Text Mode) and proportions.
You can also hold Alt and change size or parameters in Tool Settings, to apply them to all text layer without selection.

Can you show me quick how to do the Alt + Change Size. I can't figure it out, unfortunately. Edit: I can figure out either of them. Please could you show me how? Thanks, Shijan. Re: Text Scaling Challenges
This looks great indeed. But on my system, I get a secondary Context menu with the Shift and Control keys. How/where can I turn this off?

Re: Text Scaling Challenges
Control key is for Windows version. If you on macOS, you need to use Command key instead of Control.
Control+click on macOS reserved by system to open Context menu. This is normal.

Re: Text Scaling Challenges
On a side note: after scaling your type the size in points will be incorrectly stated. To fix this right-mouse click the Scaling property in the Layer properties panel, and select "Fix Layer".

@Shijan and @Herbert 123: Thank you both! Lifesavers!
I've got great news: After extensive testing, I've begun to migrate my workflow Affinity Photo to PhotoLine. PL satisfies all the needs of my little copywriting/branding operation. Where it does it fall short, I can always rely on Xara/Krita/Inkscape.
