A question—and possibly a suggestion for a future version of the program.

Beitrag von Armoured »

Hello,
Does anyone know whether PhotoLine includes a tool for drawing vector shapes inside another vector without relying on masks?
An option like this would greatly simplify the workflow for those who need to define non-destructive fills within complex shapes.
For example, in other software, I use it very frequently to create internal vector shading similar to airbrush effects by leveraging blur filters.

Thank you.

You can select multiple vector layers and use Layout->Vector->Difference. This adds special "Difference" vector mode for top layer and adds selected layers to special Path Group. All non-destructive. When done, in Layer Attributes you can change Path Group to Vector to flatten everything to single vector object.

Interesting, but is it also possible to apply Fx to vector shapes, such as edge blur or shadow, without first rasterizing them?

Sure it is possible. You can just add vector layers to the group and add Layer Style or any effect to that group.
