- Icons in menus on Windows are smaller than on macOS (14px instead of original 15px) and looks really bad.

There isn't a fix icon size on Windows. The size depends on the screen dpi and the menu font, so chances are very high that they are not pixel perfect.

Icons in panels bottom bars on Windows are not so bad as menu icons, but they also looks slightly smaller and less pixel perfect than on macOS.

The size depends on the screen dpi and the dialog font.

I changed system font size to 150% (Start > Settings > Ease of Access > Display) but icons size in PhotoLine remains unchanged. So looks like it is just a fixed incorrect icons size hardcoded somewhere inside PhotoLine.
By the way, earlier same problem with incorrect icon sizes in menus was on macOS version too, but one day you fixed it and all things became look nice and clean here.

Another possible bug in Rounded Corners. In Absolute mode if shape size is small and if set radius negative value too far, it is impossible back to original shape size anymore.

Erst ein Foto geöffnet - dann Neue Arbeitsebene "Schwellenwert" angelegt - dann Strg gedrückt und in den Kanälen auf Spezialkanal geklickt.

I can't reproduce that. I changed the scaling to 200% and everything changed accordingly. If I didn't restart PhotoLine, Windows took care of the scaling and the UI was a bit blurry. After a restart everything was sharp.

Seems it respond to UI scaling system settings but not to Font size settings. If i change UI scaling to 125% menu icons became larger. The rest of UI icons also became larger, so it is not a real problem fix.
Also icons are still not aligned to pixel perfect grid. At 125% they just became aligned to 16px instead of 14 px. At 150% they just became aligned to 20px. Both sizes are "incorrect" and produce aliasing artifacts because original icons sizes are 15/17/19 pixels.

I understand that in PhotoLine UI icons size usually somehow related to sliders and text field height. But maybe at least it is possible just somehow adjust everywhere sliders and text fields height to 15/17/19 pixels to avoid icons aliasing on both macOS and Windows?
Icons that fits to 14/16/18/20 pixel grid or upscaled to 21 px will always produce blurred or aliased look.

Also seems resize problem described earlier still not fixed.
In Document mode after resizing and then changing scaling algorithm in layer settings, image keep using previous scaling algorithm.
I guess to fix this problem layer needs some sort of instant autoupdate when changing scaling algorithm in layer settings.


Here is how to reproduce problem:
- Set Layer scaling algorithm to Bilinear.
- Scale test image layer to something like 300px.
- "Fix Layer", and see how look Bilinear resized result.
- Undo.
- Now change Layer scaling algorithm to CubicSpline.
- Scale layer to 300px
- "Fix Layer", and see that it is actually still use Bilinear instead of CubicSpline

That is intentional. The iconbar options need the icons for obvious reasons, but the icons might be distracting with the other options.
I could change them, so that they will be using the global option for showing icons in the menu.

Yes, i think it is more logical to show icons in all places and preserve global option for showing icons in the menu. If user turn them on globally he expect to see those icons in all possible places. They really improve usability and allow to find things faster, if icon sizes are correct and if they are not blurred.

I notice that image imported as Placeholder have no scaling Antialias options selection at all. Is it a limitation of Placeholder? Or is it a missing option?

I usually stay away from parametric ICC V4 profile type, but i notice that PhotoLine seems support them and seems find interesting bug in PhotoLine or in ICC profile itself.
I notice that L-gamma V4 profiles taken from Elle Stones package https://ninedegreesbelow.com/photograph ... files.html (as i know they are generated in LCMS) and from RawTherapee ICC Profile Creator have some differences in formula:


In most cases in PhotoLine same image with these V4 profiles look the same, and same as ICC V2. But when i start to adjust Exposure slider, image with applied RawTherapee ICC Profile start to behave incorrectly and image became darken too early.


Just wonder is this a bug in ProtoLine Exposure tool, or a bug in RawTherapee ICC Profile Creator. See ICC profiles examples in attachment.

PhotoLine currently doesn't support curves with a parametric type of 4. I will change that.
