Dehaze filter

Dehaze filter does good job and gives interesting results.
But it is very sensitive to the cursor value and to the haze color.

It would be nice to have dehaze as an adjustment layer to be able to fine tune the dehaze later in the workflow.

I was about to say, apply it as a dynamic filter to a placeholder layer. But dehaze does not work as a dynamic filter.

Dehaze filter does good job and gives interesting results.

IMO, usually one only needs 3 filters for enhancing pictures:
- Curves
- Dehaze
- Light/Shadow (sometimes)

But it is very sensitive to the cursor value and to the haze color.

What do you mean by "cursor value"?
With an approbriate size, Dehaze almost always calculate the correct color value by itself. And if it doesn't, the automatic color is a good starting point, that only has to be tweaked a bit.

It would be nice to have dehaze as an adjustment layer to be able to fine tune the dehaze later in the workflow.

Dehaze is creating a vector layer having a layer mask.

The fill color of the vector layer is the dehaze color.
Furthermore you can apply Curves to the layer mask (best as an adjustment layer) to modify the result.

So it is possible to fine tune Dehaze later on.

Pretty much agree.
I tend to use "Levels" and "Hue/Saturation" in place of "Curves" so I can have separate masking for each.

I meant the "Size" cursor.

Now I have a better understanding of the construction. I will try.
Still, the "Size" cursor can't be fine tuned afterword.
