Re: Apply Image
Would be great if you could describe what you mean. Most of us don't use PS for obvious reasons.

Re: Apply Image
Google for it ...
Most known usage is for frequency separation for portrait retouching.

Re: Apply Image
Thanks for the replies.
Apply image is used for frequency separation but has many other uses.
Example : I wanted to darken sky in original image below.
Looked at the Red, Green, and Blue channels.
Noticed the red channel had the darkest sky.
Apllied red channel to a new layer.
Set blend mode to luminosity and sky darkens.
Used blending options to adjust effect for sky ( does PL have blending options )
No need to make a mask or selection.
PS: Cannot get my images to show .... sized to 600 pixels long side.

Re: Apply Image
The blend mode is at the top of the Layers panel (default is Normal).
One way to do what you are doing is to create a Gray Mixer adjustment layer. Set the blend mode to Luminance, then darken Cyan and Blue.
Another is to use curves with a Color Filter to limit the hues to cyan and blue.

Re: Apply Image
That would be Color Filter; right-click a layer and select Color Filter. I don't think that other program has an HIS or HSV option; blending based on hue is extremely useful.
